    firefox vulnerable to scam artist
    http://www.shmoo.com/idn/

Visit the above link. The flaw (so may not consider it a flaw) has been around since 2001 and all browsers but IE are vulnerable. I can see scam artist scamming even some of the most veteran of computer users.

Cough hack "all Windows browsers except IE", maybe.

    Pretty sure Lynx isn't affected.

Articles by written/edited by people that think Windows is the only OS out there should be taken with a grain of salt.

The IDN situation is going to cause lots of phishing problems - if you have an "i" in your domain name, the difference between a normal "i" and one with certain accents on it is very little.

Lots of IDN domain names being sold on eBay, with sellers hoping the buyers don't spot the accent and paying what the "real" domain name is worth in error.

Safari is a OSX browser and it has the problem. The problem also exist in Linux. It's not a Operating system problem its a browser problem.

IMO, if you click on a link that you are unsure of and type in your usernamee and password, you need a lesson in web security.
Any domain that one visits that requires sensitive information such as login and/or password to be entered should be typed in by the user.
Am I right in thinking this way? It only seems sensable that if you are logging on to your bank account or whatever that you ONLY get there via direct entry of the domain name.
If I am wrong in this assumption I would appreciate any feedback.

I'm sorry but the remark "all browsers but IE are vulnerable" is still incorrect.
