    CJ Next Payment Estimate
    Hey guys.

This morning when I checked the next payment estimate, it showed >$300. Now it is down to about $35. Reports look normal. Do any of you know what the cause of this is? Also, what is the monthy payment cutoff date for CJ?

    Thanks, Abel

CJ pays you on the 20th for the previous month's sales, less chargebacks. A merchant has until the 10th of Feb. to post chargebacks from January. So, theoretically, on the 11th of Feb. your payment estimate will be about right. Sometimes you will see variances from a merchant extending transactions for an additional 30 days before paying for them, but this is the exception, not the rule.
Until the 11th of the month, the payment estimator is pretty much useless.

It's certainly depressing if you refresh it day by day and watch it get progressively lower as merchants extend/reverse/don't want to pay your commissions :P

For me, it always seems to end up being half the original estimated payment by the time it settles. Bah.

    Thanks scohaz.

It's good to read from someone knowledgeable. I will wait untill the 11th and see what shows. Also, if let's say the merchant posts chargebacks today, will the balance change today or will it change on the 10th as well?

Some merchants post chargebacks as they come in, while others post all of them on the 10th. Your balance changes as the sale/lead/chargeback comes across.
My advice to you is to not even use the estimate until after the 10th.

    abelony-

I know how you feel! The same thing happened to me last month. I was expecting aprox 300 dollars and ended up with about 60. It was because one of my merchants extended. Live and learn!
