    According to internet retailer...
Ebates had an 82% increase in Nov/Dec traffic totalling 1.44MM unique visitors

The other companys or sites I can understand ... I've seen there ads everywhere!!!! [on and off line] but ebates? Hmmmm ... anyone care to venture/speculate where this growth came from?

The Comscore PR that IR drew that information from http://www.comscore.com/press/release.asp?press=546 I do find it somewhat confusing that Comscore is classifying Ebates as a Retail Property and not an Ad Focus Property (where they classify other similiar web sites).

    Another interesting Comscore PR
    http://www.comscore.com/press/release.asp?press=546

An expected pickup in visitation to e-card sites boosted both the e-Cards and Flowers, Gifts & Greetings categories. As the tradition of paper gives way to the convenience of the Web, nearly 48 million Americans visited e-Card sites to send or view virtual holiday cards in December.
In general we all know the kinds of stuff you can catch at many of the e-card sites.

I have no idea what is going on but looking at my clicks counter (php script) and my stats at CJ, I am only being credited with aprox 2/3 of the actual clicks I'm sending.

It makes me wonder just where the other 1/3 is ending up.

I observed and made a video of Ebates installed through security holes during November 2004.

How many others users received Ebates in this same way?

If sufficiently many, that could explain (some of) the jump. I'm not sure I think this is the best explanation, but it's certainly something to think about.

Would we expect Ebates' business to be seasonal? More users making online purchases during the holiday season, hence more traffic to Ebates -- both the web site, and the bits of traffic cause by the TopMoxie software download.

    eBates a growth leader...
Anyone else see this? As listed in the Internet Retailer for February, eBates is one of the leaders in online traffic growth for the past year. Just trying not to get too discouraged by the growth of those commission-stealing-cookie-overwriting sites.
Is there hope for us little guys? Cause apparantly the consumer wants them, though they probably aren't aware of the things the sites do in details such as that...

The only people who want them are the bloody parasite loving Networks and the scumbag merchants.
Also the only reason they are leaders in online traffic growth for the past year is they are stealing more traffic and customers from us honest affiliates with the full co-operation of the Networks.

No problem Haiko...I was a little confused how that happened! Glad I wasn't the only one who took notice of the issue...
