Wal-mart closing store, averting worker unionization
In itself not conclusive, but coupled with what they did to meatcutters, related later in the story, they don't seem to be as "little guy" friendly as their PR people would have us believe

LOL I don't think wal-mart is doing a bad thing. Those employees who wanted to form a union just screwed them selves.

Plus why the heck would you want to be in a Union for wal-mart. Thats like a double insult.

Hey I droped out of HS so I joined the Wal-Mart Union

Those wanks, their PR is baloney when it comes to the treatment of employees. At the one I w*rked at for a while, they even went so far as to steal the little 15-minute breaks from anyone who didn't know they were entitled to them!

Their success at retailing is something I admire--but when it comes to what kind of employer they are? Far from admiration; in fact, I hope they lose every employment-rights type case that ever comes up!

I live in Quebec, where this store is. Quebec is pretty union-happy I must say. They tried the same same with a mcDonalds store here last year and gor the same result. Some people never learn.
