Thumbs up How Many Affiliates Would Join?
If I were to set up an account with Shareasale with decent rates (not the highest paying ones though), how many people do you think would join, and how many of them do you think will make a difference?

This all depends more on you, not shareasale. Depends on what type of program you have, rates you pay, the support you provide, etc... It is impossible to speculate this.

    What Chet B said &
    >how many
    >how many

Many times the 90/10 rule applies.
90% of your sales will come from 10% of those that join.

Depends on your merchandise, your sites conversion rate, whether your site has leaks, how long your cookie is..... I could go on.....

Okay then I'll be more specific:

    The Genre is Web Hosting
The Url is : http://www.my-free-coupons.com/webhostingdemo.html (I'll get it a domain shortly)
The Commision is 250% per Sale (250% of first month)
    Cookies are 365 Days
    Auto Approve for American Residents
Two Tier Program Avalible ($4 for every hosting sale your downline makes)

Is that enough info for you to make a good guess?

For the amount of space, the prices your company offer are quite high, as well as the payouts being quite low.... There are companies that pay upwards of 100$/sale to affiliates for comperable packages, at lower prices.

    Just Made Some Changes
I just made some changes to the website, so the commisions would be upped to $75 (or 500% of the first month).

What everybody else said, and as far as "how many of them do you think will make a difference?" goes, considering the setup cost at Shareasale, only ONE productive affiliate can make it all worthwhile for you.

Higher than average product price plus lower than average commission rate is a formula that will scuttle all of your efforts on all fronts.

I tried using web hosting links and never made a dime. I do better reselling server space on my own. A headache to manage sometimes, but it pays for all my affiliate hosting and then some each year.

    Let Me Rephrase This:
I'll rephrase this because nobody is directly answering my question:
How many affiliates does Serverplux.com have (you can see all of its terms on shareasale.com) and how many subscribers do you think they get Serverplux.com each month?

Did you mean serverplex.com? I ran a google-- link: on them, and came up with 285 listings, so I would say in the hosting industry they have very few affiliates, but that is just a rough guess given the one quick google search.

    I Meant Severplex
Your right, I meant Serverplex. Also Miles Long (thanks for responding), why would you say they don't have many affiliates? Is it because of their pricing, their commisions, there EPC, or something entirely different?

Not to offend you, but I would never promote any web hosting resellers. The support is usually less than average and they just cant compete with the big boys. So with that being said, at least *I* wouldn't promote your company.

What does reseller hosting have to do with my question (and are you accusing me as a reseller, or me trying to be a reseller of Serverplex). I'm simply asking this question to get an idea of how many people a similar web hosting service might receive. (Similar commisions)

You asked how many people we thought would join your program if you started one. I was merely letting you know I wouldn't join it for the reasons listed above.
