Ok I want to create a datafeed site. I dont want to use Webmerge, I want to use php and Mysql, my skills in this are medium but not good enough to programme something from scratch, I can modify things to suit.
I have a unique design, a good angle to exploit, good SEO skills, a good domain and access to a host of good skills.

What i dont have is a php/mysql script to run the site

Does anyone know where i can get one, or if anyone is willing to let me use one, share one, barter one, trade one for something I can offer?

I would be interested to hear from you guys how to get over this first hurdle.

    thnx
    Paul

    Paul,

If I may make a suggestion, I think you should learn PHP. The scripts for presenting a datafeed are not that complicated. Additionally, if you're like I was, it won't be long until you find you want to 'tweak' what you are doing and if you developed the code yourself, that will be much easier.

That said, if you need a few pointers, PM me.

HI Swampy (great name) and thanks for the lightning fast reply.

I can code php and mysql a little, what I am good at doing is tweaking things, i can fix and tweak programmes I do a lot of work with oscommerce for instance. But i just dont seem to be able to write stuff from scratch, also I just dont have the time, I am so busy with business, personal and health issues I dont have 5 mins to sit down and write something even if i could.

Thats why im looking for somethiing that I can take, then modify for my own needs.

Do you still think you can help?

    Paul,

You've got a PM from me. Not having '5 minutes' though will be a real issue
