Question allposters - creating category folders
I have been trying to have the script create directories for certain categories but I'm not having any success.

    For instance I added:

    catdir 52936:achievement
    catdir 52954:action

    But directories wre not created.

    What am I not doing?

    Thanks.

Where are these two categories located in the AllPosters.com category tree? (e.g.: Movies > Action & Adventure Films > James Bond Films). And, are you building all categories or just some? What is the "categories" configuration variable set to? (0=all).

    These categories are under "Motivational".

Categories variable is set to "0".

However I have also removed the "#" in front of many "catdelete" settings.

Those two categories are not in AllPosters.com's datafeed file. They are probably new categories. ("make new allposters.pl data files" is on my Todo list; no ETA). Thanks.

Is there a quick and easy way of finding out what is in the datafeed and what is not?

There are some 50 odd categories under Motivation, so finding out all of the IDs and then editing the "ini" file will take a bit of time.

Build your site with the entire Motivational category (# 19491), then see what was created, and then deleted those categories that you don't want by using catdelete statements. Or you can save some time by looking at someone else's website that was created by the same version of allposters.pl such as my website at www.zposters.com (it has all available categories; no catdelete's).

Note: Do not use "catdelete 19491" (the Motivational category #) since that would delete the Motivational category and all its sub-categories.

At www.zposters.com is the menu down the left side generated by the script?

    Thanks.

No. I made those links manually in the tdefault.html template file. First, I built the site to see what category links were created on the home page by allposters.pl, then I copied those links into the sidebar.
