Problem with create index when value in field changes
Hi I'm having problems I have a feed with for instance

    8 Accessories
    10 Bangles
    32 Rings

I select "Make new index page when value in field changes" on the basis that when it comes to the end of Accessories it will generate anew index page for Bangles and then Rings.

The problem is that I dont get all the products showing on Accessories or any of the other index pages .It displays some but not all that are in the datafeed.

Can anyone shed any light on whats happening?

    Many Thanks

You probably just need to use the Sort option in the Sources tab. See the discussion of why it's important in the Help page on the Sources tab -- it walks you through a sorted and unsorted series so you can see the difference.

Just one thing though I removed half of the data two merged feeds. One has a column that displays like this 131165001108699000000 in excel if you click in the field.
But when looking at it on screen it displays like this 1.31165E+20

I tried doing A find and replace to remove the + but excel states it cant find it.
    Is this A formatting problem?

    Cheers

Thanks for the help. I've found the problem. It was as I descried above with the starnge numbers and + in the column. I deleted the column and inserted a new one and created my own productID column. Works perefectly now.

Damn I must check these shitty datafeeds before psoting.

Your "problem" was simply that the column was formatted to display the number in scientific notation. Next time you encounter that problem, right click the column and change the formatting to "general"

Thanks Frank. I did look at column formatting, guess what the one column type I did not try was scientific. Thanks for being there mate
