    Question allposters - ae
    How do I control the output of the AE when using an include in allposters?

    The idefault.html file has <!--amazon:blended-->

    How do I control the number of columns, background color of titles, etc.?

    Thanks.

    AE blended searches only come in one format (the format of blended search results is hard-coded into AE; it does not appear in AE's formatting library).

    The allposters-include/idefault.html file is the default include file. If there is an include file allposters-include/iNUMBER.html (NUMBER=category #) then that category is included instead of the default include file. For example, i101.html (101=Movies) is included on Movies category pages (as well as sub-categories of the Movies category). See allposters-include/i101.html and you'll see that it contains several lines such as <!--amazon:dvd--> (this displays DVD's that are keyword-related). To control the format of such non-blended searches, edit allposters.ini and add a grid parameter to the amazonpl configuration variable, such as:

    amazonpl "/cgi-bin/ae.pl?grid=c:3,r:3"

    (allposters.pl automatically removes the grid parameter for blended searches).

    Thanks David.

    I was going cross-eyed reading through the "ini" files and the documentation, trying to figure out how to configure these.

    Thanks for walking me through that David.

    I got AE nicely integrated and the site up and running. Now I can tweak a few things such as adding a couple of menus.

    The site is at www.prosperity-posters.info.
