February 20th, 2005, 11:10 PM #1Does Redirecting Affiliate URLs Work?
Just curious to see how many of us actually do use redirects on affiliate links..
Even though my sales have remained steady I wonder how much more I'd be making if the parasites were not out there ...
Anyone have any opnions on this or care to share their experiences?

We noted a definite increase in sales when using a redirect script. I'm 'guestimating' ... 8% - 12% increase.
We're offering a free affiliate URL link masker (GOLD PACK) in our forum. Give it a test run on your links and see if it increases your revenue.

Any problems that you know of with SE's not liking the masked urls and penalizing sites?
What would the difference be using your script rather than doing it myself thru htaccess or the redirect in cpanel on my sites... Not challenging you at all, technologically dumb, just wondering what the difference is..

There's no difference at all if your able to use the .HTACCESS as your redirect.
As far as any penalties, none that I am aware of other. We have had solely redirect script URL's actually make the indice with the redirect URL listed in the engines.
