    Add to cart doesn't
    http://www.c3scripts.com/cgi-bin/ae....rch=B0002ZAFDK

It appears that as there is no "buy" price data being sent from Amazon (I added &data at the end), add to cart does not do this. Confusing for customer at our site.

It is quite irritating to discover that the first store I have chosen to set up with this script (online pet supplies) has a huge majority of products that fall into this category - no price data supplied.

If you have a direct contact at Amazon, maybe you could find out why such a major sub-section of Amazon is devoid of data in their feed?

    Thank you.

Is there any update on this, or have I really discovered that where no price data is available, purchases go through to Amazon in the way I describe?

You'll have to ask Amazon.com. AE is using the correct <form> action/parameters on that webpage. Typically pressing the "Buy from Amazon.com" button does cause Amazon.com to immediately add the item to the Amazon.com shopping cart; for this product, it does not. It is up to Amazon.com to program what happens at the Amazon.com server when the "Buy from Amazon.com" form is submitted. At that product's page at the amazon.com website, pressing the "Add to Shopping Cart" button does add that product to the shopping cart.

Nor for a whole slew of other products:

    ...etc.,

I'll contact Amazon and see where the problem lies.

Those are all pet products. Apparently that section of the amazon.com website works that way. It is the amazon.com website that processes the "Buy from Amazon.com" form action. For those products, no AWS-based script will immediately add the item to the amazon.com shopping cart since it is the www.amazon.com website that processes the action. The problem is not with Associate Engine. Amazon.com has to change the way their server handles the action. I will ask Amazon.com about this.
