February 22nd, 2005, 08:26 AM #1Switching Domain Name servers
A host has dissapeared on me taking down 2 of mysites over the weekend. Luckily I had back up and plenty of room on another host to move them.
I moved the sites and I changed the Domain Name Servers on Sunday and nothing is resolving still!
It has never taken this long. I have moved other sites between these hosts and it usually takes a few hours.
I have no contact with the previous host. Website gone etc...
I've emailed godaddy support about this, this morning but not yet have gotten a response. Does anyone know of any issues that might occur in a situation like this when a host just disappears on you??
I made 2 sales off of my site thats gone and I'm cringing at the thought of more lost salesSuz~~GearGirl~~

Thanks I didn't think of that. It is pointing to the new name servers???
Well at least I know who to go to for support. Hopefully I set up the accounts correctly! I'm on a reseller plan and all my other sites have worked without a hitch.
Thanks again for the clue. I'm off to Hostgator to try and figure it out.
AAAHHH they finally resolved right after I shot off an email and a phone call. Patience is a virtue I don't have!
With that being said this was the longest its taken for my names to switch over.
