Which LS affiliates have free datafeeds?
Well gee. The subject says it all.

I'd like to know which LinkShare affiliates have free datafeeds.

And if it is possible, how do I get those datafeeds?

    I already use Overstock.

    Thanx

Ask your merchants for access. One might give it to you. There are plenty of programs at LS with free feeds. Check with Chris at AMWSO

    Why LS
I know I am new, buy why just LS. There are literally thousands of feeds out there that are free. I probably have a list of at list 700 or more that are not from LS.

    Try Befree!

Of course I am not knocking LS. I have Walmart with LS myself. If someone wants to compare prices on my site with Walmart, then they click on it and poof, I get a commission anyway.

    Randall

I see people with lots of posts in here. How in the world do you have time?
HMM! My grandkids keep me busy when I am not updating and writing ezines.

    Randall,

How do you handle all those Walmart products? That datafeed is about 1gb unzipped and I'm afraid to throw it into mySQL for performance issues.

Thanks to all who answered I am looking into most of those possibiltes.

I only asked about LS because I am already an LS affiliate, and have recieved checks from them. That is to me the most important indicator that an afiliate proggie is "good and honest."

No disrespect to any other affiliate proggies.

It's time I branched out anyway.

    Thanks again!

You can do anything you want with the data feed. Size doesn't matter. Break it! I did not have to but if you have to do that, then do it. There are no rules after getting your data feed. Incidently, there are more programs out there other than "Web Merge" or "Secret Money Generator". However, those programs are the cheaper ones. "CASPIO BRIDGE" is probably the best program out there. However, you'd better be ready to pay the price. I think at one time it was $4500.00. I can't remember. Also, there is a PHP Generator out there from Kruz Roberts that deals with Data Bases that does a real good job generating "Data Base Driven Web Sites".

Personally I don't like what Frank does on the "Secret Money Generator" but that is another story. I would still recommend it for the small investment of $297.00

Any business that you are going into for less than $20,000 that does not have a brick and mortar you should be glad to invest something.

My father invested over 2,000 dollars to start a business as a carpenter in 1957. He did not have a brick and motar. He only made $1.05 per hour.

If someone really wants to make 100,000 on this internet, its simple to do. You cannot confuse that with the word "EASY".

The ones in here that are frustrated to answer a few questions seem like someone is going to take there business away. Believe me. There is plenty of room for everyone.

I must go. Subscribers are waiting.

Oh, you should never assume someone is a newbie, just because they only have 2 or 3 posts. I have been on this net since 1992.

Yes I still LOVE IT> I will love it till they quit updating computers.

Things just keep getting faster. That means you can make money faster, Right?

Thanks, I am sure those programs are very useful. I will look into them.

I am presently using a PHP program I wrote.

It sucks bits of info out of a .csv and makes static webpages for me.

For my next step in that direction I want to add the ability to search an SQL file and display other relevent products on the page dynamically based on the search term that brought the surfer to my page.

First I gotta go learn a bit more PHP

    Yer reight!

I got my first check from Amazon something like 8 years ago, generated by a Geocities site. Been messing about ever since.

I am at the moment really a hobbyist. I make a good spare time income but am beginning to think very seriously about trying to go full time.

Thats why I am learning PHP and looking at datafeeds.

LS has data feeds for Free after you pay for the initial setup fee of 250.00. That is a cheap investment for what you are getting in the long run.

The Walmart data feed alone is worth that alone.

    Not to mention Target.

If you invest in your business like you would if you were a painter, carpenter, or plumber, then you would need to advertise. Make the initial investment and get your data feeds for "Free".

they come with you affiliate number already embedded.

Cleanup time is 2 minutes tops. Add the 8 required titles and you're done. Go for it.

There are plenty of Content Management Systems you can install that are written in php and manages your data in a mysql database. They're easy to install and have various components you can plug-in for different functionalities. I use them for all my websites. Why spend time coding by hand when you can be making money?

    Latest newsletter from LinkShare says:

    Merchandiser Policy
We've changed our Merchandiser policy to allow more affiliates to take advantage of our merchant datafeeds! Going forward, the $250 set up fee will be waived if:

You have been active in the Network for at least 3 months, AND
You have generated at least 50 orders in the most recent calendar month
For more details on getting started with Merchandiser, visit the Affiliate Resource Center in the upper right hand corner of your account interface. The Merchandiser sign up information can be found within the LinkShare Products & Services section of the Affiliate Resource Center.

If you're a member of GoldenCAN, you can see he has setup EasyClickTravel, SierraTradingPost and and OverStock (where the first 2 are free within GoldenCAN).

I suppose the GoldenCAN list of merchants is a good way to know who has feeds (though they surely don't yet have every feed in their system).

Well shoot, wish I hadn't spent that $250 now. This is just going to flood the internet with more LS datafeed sites.

Not sure it is going to be a flood. But, there will be more sites with feeds. 50 orders is not something to sneeze at.
