    Hi

I'm working on my 1st datafeed site and need to know my Sharesale affiliate ID. Can someone tell me where to find it or how to work it out.

    Thanks

When you login, look up in the Title bar of the browser on any page. You can also find it under "Edit Your Account".

As far as datafeeds go, the links are already tagged with your affiliate ID (it's best to double check, but they should be, unless the merchant goofed). You should see links under the "Link" column (5th pipe | over) in your datafeed similiar to:

    shareasale.com/m-pr.cfm?merchantID=XXXX&userID=XXXXXX&.....

Where userID is your, well, user ID.

    Brilliant I've got it!

I tried the same for Linkshare but it didn't work!

Now how do I find my affiliate ID for Linkshare?

I feel like such a dumbo asking these questions sorry

Have you ever looked for a needle in a haystack?

Ok, well it's not quite that bad, but I only know of one way to find it. If you go to Create Links > [Merchant] > and choose a link type (say a text link, for instance) and view the code for the link, it's mixed in the href tag. It will look like:

    click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=[random numbers/letters]&offerid=XXXXX.XXXXXXX....

The random numbers/letters after id= is your Linkshare ID. If there's another way to find it, I've never seen it.

Yep, its the 11 random symbols in any affiliate URL you create. If you are finding less than 11 characters check again, some of them include symbols which you may not think to include in a field name, but they're a part of the affiliate ID.
