February 24th, 2005, 11:01 AM #1Yo! Merchants!
PLEASE! Do NOT use "Misc." In your data feeds! Use "Other" instead.
The period in "Misc." screws things up.
Also, even if is is an SAS option (which it shouldn't be) don't use "D‚cor". Either use"Decor" or "Decorations". That comma has to go!
I gotta tell yous guys everything?Comments are opinion unless otherwise noted. Remember, pillage first. Then burn. Half of all people in the world have IQs under 100. You best learn to trust ol' SSanf!

why not just remove it from the feed yourself if you need to?One day parasites and their ilk will be made illegal, I bet a few Lawyers will be pissed off when the day comes.

Feeds are meant to be automated--that was the original point behind the technology! So anything that screws up automation is bad!
Plus, oddball characters have the irksome characteristic of not being noticed until AFTER running it through, thereby causing the wasteage of the original round of effort. There is no knowledge that is not power. ~Hemingway

The more the feed data is screwed up with oddball characters, the less competition there will be from folks who are too lazy to spend four seconds doing a find & replace operation.
As a matter of fact, the screwed up feeds are the easiest to process in the long run. The nice clean ones are a b*tch because more work is required to make things different.

You've got a point there.
I just hate it when I miss an oddball character and end up with nonsense sprayed all over my pages. There is no knowledge that is not power. ~Hemingway
