    Talking Algo Busting Time
I have been trying a few SEO experiments on the Google algo problem. Anyone willing to join me in trying to crack 'em open? If so, post it here. Let's have some fun.

They would change the algo just because a couple of us newbies around here think something might work?

I will say something that may be true or not..and I'm sure if it is true its no big secret.

Google seems to love valid pristine xhtml. My newer sites that have pristine xhtml google has gobbled up and deeeep crawled them...but it just may be a coincdence since these sites have been revamped and put up right before the last big update.

So there take it for what it is...speculation.

To all those who feel shocked at my suggestion, remember if it was to happen they would just change it again. Hey, that could happen next quarter any way.

What I suggested was for pure fun. Nothing like a good puzzle to play with. And this is the best.

That's the problem--we don't WANT them changing it 2 seconds after it gets cracked! So best to not let 'em know how close (or far) we are. I'm certainly not worried about their SERP quality...(at least not beyond my ability to "enhance" their top SERPs with the presence of my sites ).

And yeah, they probably will mess with it again next quarter (or sooner) anyway, but no need to speed things up...

Nothing like a good puzzle to play with.
I know!! And it's one of my favorite puzzles, too!

But, like playing poker...best to not let the opponent (Google) know all that much about your strategy

There's more than newbies around here
And Google *has* been known to get on boards. Just because we haven't had to tolerate the presence of "Googleguy" doesn't mean they aren't reading...

I'm sure you heard it from me. Talking about wanting to crack it isn't what I was objecting to, of course!

It's posting the actual cracks (beyond a few vague remarks) that's unstrategic...

Or maybe you heard someone say Google's latest algo is ON crack, which would also be accurate IMO!

Good Advice Leader, I'll take it.

I just got a little frustrated. I had the best four months ever. Then February hit and then got dropped of the face of the earth by Google. After sending emails to Google, I got the standard brush off. "Its your fault not ours."

Yahoo continues to produce quality hits. MSN going through their own change. We have to face it SEs are changing and looking to profit from their incredible advertising market pentration. Its only a natural evolution for a corporation.

I recommend that anyone looking to get quality hits from the major SEs to use your knowledge to test and test again. Because by learning new SEO techniques, pursuing new knowledge from forums, sites and books and using your own good common sense, you can carve out your own piece of the huge internet pie.

Just remember that the competition now includes some huge corporations too. Be Smarter and believe in yourself and your product.
