Couldn't get a hold of him either... But tried eprussakov AT russianlegacy.com (no spaces and AT replaced by @, of course), and got him there...

I *thought* something about that PM I got from him didn't seem too personal, LOL!
More like one of those emails where they use a program to stick the person's name in to pretend that it's "just for me..."

    Dude,

    I honestly didn't know! I even included a
special paragraph in each message, saying exactly the
following: "If this message has inconvenienced you in
any way, rest assured that it is a one-time offer, and
I will not bother you again. Thank you for
    understanding."

I promise that I will never do "PM recruitment",
Haiko. You may ban me forever if any of my future PMs
    include any hint of recruitment.

Could you please be so kind as to remove the ban from
    my account?

Many thanks in advance for understanding.

    Regards,

    Evgenii (Geno)
What makes these people think that spam via PM is not spam and against the rules? Why do I get many emails a day asking before they send a pm? is it a respect thing is it an ethics thing or is it a shoot I know I'm sending spam thing? HMMMM

    Nonetheless, "Geno" is gone.
    Continued Success,

    Haiko

Why do I get the feeling this wouldn't have been such a big issue if it were somebody from a Western European gene pool, selling cartoon or sports collectibles crap.

Insinuating there's a prejudice here towards where people live or what they sell, is in extremely poor taste. PM spamming is forbidden, and really not only here but I don't visit any message board that allows PM spamming of any kind. Even a fairly newish member should know the rules of the board they participate.

With the abundant email spam, cold call sells on my phone and all of the other junk advertising I get, some seemingly desparate attempt to recruit me through PM is not welcomed. I'm sure the others that were targeted were just as annoyed, but it seems I was just the first to alert Haiko to it.

If you can't legitimately gain affiliates, it's time to rethink your strategy.

No one is allowed to PM spam, european or otherwise. I ignored it, and actually assumed he contacted Haiko first to ask permission, since it did look like it went to many and was not just sent to me.

A couple of have been banned for PM spamming, and as I recall those spammers did originate from a "Western European gene pool." (The only reason it was "a couple" is because not too many actually try such stuff here.)

No reason to allow it for anyone, regardless of ancestry!

Since I see no indication that Haiko decided to lift the ban on the other screen name, this second screen name is going under a ban also. If you receive a ban from this board, it doesn't mean to just start posting again under a different screen name.

    Absolute Nonsense.

PM spammers are worse than instigators who post preponderous acusations, but not by much.

Geez, what ever happened to second chances? You only banned bird brain for a week and he made a lot worse trouble than Geno. Just my 2 cents.

    hi
    I am still reading threads.
can I ask after reading this one,
is it just me , or do I get the feeling, that as a merchant
from Europe I would be wasting my time if I signed up shareasale,??
the reason I am thinking of shareasale is,
we have sold our product online by ourselves,
    and got a good response,
but most of our sales went to the states.
we have a top notch skin care product,
    that is winning international awards.
please let me know if I read this thread wrong.

    Neil, you read something wrong.

Rest assured that Shareasale is a top-notch outfit.

Brian (Shareasale owner) is one of the most trusted and respected gentlemen in that industry.
