    Hosting AE loads

I work for a web hosting company, (that I will not name because of the TOS of this forum) and a client of ours, uses the AE script.

He has ordered a dedicated server with the following specs:
    P4, 2.4 GHz
    1 GB RAM
    CentOS Linux

This client has 6 sites he wishes to host, and they are currently loaded on one of our Dual Xeon servers, and the load is quite high. (load typically between 3.0 and 4.8)

I fear that this client is going to be disappointed with his new server if this is the kind of load this script is needing.

I could use some insite here please. Will this clients sites be fine on this new dedicated server? Is there any optimizing that could be done to the software or the server to make them play better together?

    Thank you David.

But should this server be able to handle 6 sites of medium traffic?
(I don't know how many page views he gets per month)

Generally the only time I see the server load go high with AE is when some spider is misbehaving and trying to grab data far faster than it should. If you follow the optimization stuff listed in his FAQ - there should be no problem with 6 sites of medium traffic.
