    Exclamation German Affiliate Marketing
Does anyone know of a German Affiliate Marketing Forum/website? I am looking to find out as much as I can about the state of the German affiliate market, the big players and what people think of them. I know who the big players are, but I don't know if any opinions of them and whether anyone has any problems with any of them. In the UK, we have a forum, where people can go and check out other people's opinions...is there a German version???

Please help as I want to set up in the german market, but don't know who is the best/worst!!

    Thanks

    Hi Dan,

I haven't seen a German one but I'm thinking of doing the same.

CJ has quite a few German programmes, and of course there's Amazon.de too. However, many of the CJ programs are run by an outfit called Nonstopconsulting who I've had very bad experiences with.

I've bought a German domain name, but I'm having some difficulty getting it hosted properly

    Do Germans use credit cards???
I seem to remember a post here at ABW by a fellow in the UK who questioned the German market.

He indicated that Germans didn't' use credit cards much and that hurt e-commerce in that country.

There are other payment methods than credit cards

True, CCs are not as widespread in Germany like in many other countries, however, this doesn't hurt sales much. Germans are used to pay by direct deposits mostly but they also have no problems with paying by their phone bill (the oh-so bad dialer) as long as it is advertised correctly and in a serious manner.

If you offer the proper payment-methods, the Germans will buy like any other people in the world.

    @Dan

I wanted to send you a PM but I haven't got enough posts to PM anybody. I'm experienced in the German market, so if you would like to discuss a couple of things shoot me an email at dandy11 AT gmail DOT com.

    Hi!

I'm actually German and know some things about the affiliate marketing scene.

There are two big discussion boards about affiliate marketing, but they are in German:

    http://www.affiliate.de/forum

    http://www.100partnerprogramme.de/forum.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask :-)

If any of you guys are new to affiliate marketing in Germany then you may want to look at the Zanox affiliate network. As an international network you can create an account in whatever language you like and select your payout currency as well as select programs from more than 25 active countries. As Zanox is a German company you will also find that we happen to be the largest German network and pretty much the dominant network here. As well as that you have access to programs in the UK and some in the US.

Whilst you promote germany you can still get assistance from either english speaking German affiliate managers or an english affiliate manager or both. To get started email yagmur.guven@zanox.co.uk or if you prefer just signup at zanox.co.uk and have a little look around.

Hope that is of some help

    International fields,

IBAN and BIC do apply for international bank accounts, if you look then you will see the "I" in IBAN means "international".

email yagmur.guven@zanox.co.uk and she will sort you out i am sure, shes rather nice at times.

means "international" does not mean bank from all countries use the same standard on wire transfer

There are no IBAN and BIC here in my country.

If you ask the bank, they just hand you another set of code for int'l bank transfer

this is a problem similar to international address form.

i see that US, UK, AUZ, etc all have a different bank code system on bank transfer.

In the end, bank country, bank name and account name # are the most important info.

In here, the banks do not have any IBAN or BIC,
The banks only use SWIFT address.

    here is not Europe.
    That is the difference.

I had asked my bank many times in the past.
All they use is SWIFT address only

Hey, to try and help resolve the IBAN and BIC issue, I am aware that affiliates attempting to register for programmes in the zanox catalogue, but want their transfers to be made to a US account are experiencing problems.

I suggest Vrindavan, that you fill in the BIC field with your bank swifts code and see if that works, you can leave the IBAN field empty.

If that doesnt work, give me a shout, im the affiliate manager for the US, annelise caron aca@zanox.com. zanox will be having its own space on this forum soon, and there i will be able to answer all questions without spamming.

Let me know if it doesnt work,

    Kind regards

    Annelise

hehehe, thought i would find you round here sooner or later, nice to see little annalise coming to look after us all.

Im sooo glad to be this side of the fence knowing that annalise has to work all day long at zanox

Look forward to giving you some lip when i start giving the USA a little bit of a hammering.

    Miss you loads etc etc

    Matt
