    Visitor visits two PPC ads, which one sticks?
    An elementary question, but I can't find the answer.

    If there are two Adwords ads for the same keyword phrase, and the customer clicks both, which cookie would ultimately win the sale? The first ad visited or the last?

    Winner is the tracking link clicked last.

    As for how it applies to AdSense, it depends on how the ad is set up. If the ad uses the merchant/network's tracking code as its destination link, that'd cause a 100% CTR and 100% cookie-fication.

    But, as I understand it, AdSense frowns on that now. If you're landing the viewers onto a standard affiliate page where the viewer then has to click over to the merchant, there will be some bleed-off of people who don't actually make that last click, and therefore not all of the traffic will end up cookied.

    Thanks! Now here's another (assuming the tracking link gets clicked).

    A PPC ad on the same page as the merchant's organic result. Visitor clicks PPC first, then clicks merchant's result. Does the tracking code still stick or is it invalidated?

    And vice-versa, merchant organic first, then affiliate PPC clicked second. Is the PPC the winner?
