Angry Any Luck With LookSmart's LookListings?
I purchased some traffic for LookSmart's LookListings. I did receive the hits, but 90% of them came from 3rd-rate engines, which LookSmart calls "partners"!
On top of this, we didn't see even a single click on our CJ (or any other) banners from those guys. My question is: did any of these people ever actually see our page? I read somewhere, recently, that several companies will sell you thousands of hits, but, in a actuality, none of these "hitting" people ever see you page!
Your thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.
    Thank you!

Don't give Looksmart any money. Flushing your money down the toilet would get you the same result. Just do an ABW search on them, read.

They've got a bad record of changing the rules after they've got your money. Once upon a time, I got some decent traffic from them.. but that was long ago.

Welcome to the world of PPC.

Even the top dogs have sleazy partners who will drain your wallet with fake traffic from bogus sites.

These vampires tend to zero in on a limited set of terms so monitor your traffic and remove bids for the particular terms that are getting hit. Not sure if this is possible with the Looksmart scheme, but monitoring and removal is the only way to avoid the problem, short of not doing PPC advertising at all.

    Skip LookSmart
LookSmart listings used to generate awesome ROI when MSN took the feed. When that ceased, we actually got more traffic from LookSmart but sales/leads plummeted. You're better of putting your money in a slot machine.
