Ummm,

It doesn't make a difference to me ... however, think of the "education by example" theory.

We could help all the not so experienced new members realize the difference between types of traffic. I mean come on, how many other examples on this board can we use to show the effect and difference of targeted vs. untargeted traffic?

Fred, or the "professor" is a teacher !!

I'd say, keep him around. Many can learn from him on what NOT to do to send quality traffic and make money at this business.

Just my 2 cents,

Don't ban Fred, alhough some of his posts are a bit dodgy, I do find myself learning from "some" of the information he shares.

At least Fred doesn't :
- copy other peoples websites
- post url's of webmasters who don't want to let it out
- return to a forum pretending to be someone else when he/she was banned
- send e-mails to a forum owner threatning to bring it down

It's not like I'm referring to someone in particular.

Thats just 'Fred' for 'hello'.

I like him. He calls me 'Icy Babe' which is cool, and wants to buy me a drink. I like being bribed!

And occasionally he says something I find useful.

Can I hold a grudge or what.

Hey,

I'm going to Vegas this summer, I would like to take him a Tiger t-shirt and have lunch with him.

I would like to teach him how to make money with Tiger without him having to accuse me or any network of stealing his money.

Fred, if you saw me in person, you'd probably think about it a couple of times before telling "F/U" and insulting me again.

Anyway, you can stay and keep teaching us more stuff. Just don't mislead people about Tiger and conversions. It is what it is.

Make it a great day..

I have, as of yet, not had the pleasure, but I agree, Andy is a true and honest affiliate manager I know only 'some' of the crap he does and goes through for 'us' and am seriously IMPRESSED, not only with him but TigerDirect's management dedication to 'us' via Andy!

I did a rant on the Tiger board which you can delete if you want. But, I am against banning Fred for lots of reasons. I don't think Andy needs all this protection from Fred. And, it isn't exactly systemic for Fred to say these things.

I like Fred. I have learned some things from his posts.

I don't think anyone should be banned for an opinion about an affiliate program.

@ Vicki,
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>I don't think anyone should be banned for an opinion about an affiliate program<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

The way I have read it, I don't think it was for his opinions I think it was for the way he stated them.
I don't know Fred personaly but from some of his past posts on these forums I dislike him and I would never even contemplate joining one of his affiliate programs.

From what I have read he is not averse to giving people the wrong or blatantly false information to line his own pockets. This to mind puts him down with the other scam running scum of the internet.

I agree that nobody should be banned for speaking their mind on any subject but there are right and wrong ways to do this. Fred as I am sure he knows definitely did it the wrong way this time.

I'm thinking of printing up some t-shirts.
One that says "Keep Fred" and one that says "Ban Fred".
This is how the World Wrestling Federation made its millions. (billions?)
Now it's my turn. Get your checkbooks out.

The FU was too much and I wouldn't pay a wooden nickel for his traffic but his presence has had a beneficial effect as some others have already noted.
Particularly in the way he has made an example of himself here.
Nothing personal Fred -

To all of you who say you like Fred, you need to step back and question your values. Fred has cheated hundreds (maybe thousands) of people out of thousands of dollars.

While some of his posts are informative and others are spam (and almost all of them are humorous in their obnoxiousness), I have no respect for someone who makes money by cheating others. If you're an honest person, neither should you.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>Fred has cheated hundreds (maybe thousands) of people out of thousands of dollars.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

This is untrue and a slander.

Fred is CEO of a company that does not have the money to pay. This company is owned by Fred and 3500 other people known as shareholders.

What do you want him to do? He is not authorized to write checks from an account with non-existent funds.

For cripes sakes. Don't some of you goofballs even know what a corporation is or how they function?

When did being CEO of any corporation make a someone personally and individually liable for the debts of the corporation? For gosh sakes, grow up, already. If ANY corporation is indebted to you and the corporation goes under, guess what. You're sheet outta luck. It's a normal risk you take in business.

Unless you can prove some malfeasance on Fred's part you need to retract what you said. If you can, you need to bring criminal charges.

You think Fred ought to be individually responsible...why? "Well, I just DO, that's why. I know his name and he's connected to the corporation and by golly someone owes me." Great thinking, that.

Fred, I don't think you should put up with this bullroar any more. Get a cease and desist.

Haiko, I do not think the board should be used to slander a person. If this person can prove actual wrong doing on Fred's part while he acted as CEO, let him show the proof or retract his statement.

Wouldn't this be better off directed at Steve Messner?

It was his company whose negligence caused it all, regardless of who is carrying the can right now.

It looks to me like Fred's company is liable towards their affiliates and Steve's company is liable to Fred's. Fred has repeatedly said that once Linkshare pay up so will he.

I believe him.

However, I do not believe Mr Messner. A lawyer who appears not to know the difference between contract and negligence, and *hopes you will not either* needs watching. Closely. If he dares show his face again.

I wasn't terribly impressed by those antics. Or terribly delighted he assumed I was male.

Just my <IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon26.gif>

Hold a horse by the reins, and a MAN by his word!

I have a few corporations myself and even a LLC, does that mean I have no financial responsibilities? GET REAL!

I'll say this, the buck stops HERE! and if you can not hold Fred accountable for lost comms, then there is something seriously wrong!

-------------

Fred,

Do I understand it, yes, is it right, NO!
