    A behind-the-scenes look at Google
    Behind-the-scenes at Google

This a streaming media video from the University of Washington in which a Google rep gives a behind-the-scenes look at Google. It is nearly an hour long, but has a lot of interesting info.

Sorry, he doesn't spell out their algorithm.

P.S. I found it particularly interesting that their algorithm sounds like it is a 2-step process. First it ranks pages for a search term within sub-sets (shards) of the Google index and then it takes the best results from those subsets and compares those results to give the actual Google output.

I think the only thing which has changed at google is importance of the keyword relevancy of in and outbound links.

I'll definitely have to give this a look. Don't have an hour to spare at the moment, but I'm looking forward to watching in the future.
