    Seb-Medex,

That's proabably a better book than the Penny Marshall guide to google.
    Do not buy her book!

I bought the book and the only suggestion for words that she said worked were; Schlamiel and Schlamazel.

Well I Spent thousands on those two words and got zilch.

Better luck with Perry's book... no I have not read it.

Look for the second editions being put out under the names Marshall Penny and Marshall Perry.
    Webmaster's... Mike and Charlie

I got the Perry Marshall Adwords guide & I don't feel as though I had learned anything new or newer than many freebies out there.

Did have high hopes and was disappointed. Wait a bit and it will become a freebie with some other program.

I would look for a collabaration by Laverne Marie DeFazio and Shirley Wilhelmina Feeney. Their book on diabolical advertising in the beer industry is a direct correlation with Google.

    that's really too bad...

    Joe,

Trust me, I'd be the first to admit that I suck at adwords, but then again I have only dabbled in it slightly.

When I downloaded PM's Adwords I expected to hear some thing different. Something that I had not already seen. Yes, I knew that much of it would be information already out there but expected to see either a new spin or a different way of looking at it.

Something that would want me to say that I would want to try my hand at it & I honestly did not see any new revelations or even an ah-ha, now I understand moments.
I wish I did, I'd love to take a gamble an explore adwords more deeply then I have in the past.

I understand that there is a newer version out, maybe in that one there is more unique information. Either way, people should judge for themselves, since it might just grab their attention.

I have been a fan of PM, but for me, Adwords was not an eye opener nor an awakening.

    thanks.. i appreciate your honesty...

I agree there is lots of adwords stuff available... some of very good...

I read PM's book several times before I started to understand what I needed to change...

Bought his advanced coarse... which is where advanced stuff is discussed...

Let's not forget PM is a very good direct marketer... all good direct marketers always save their best stuff for the upgrade...

This something most of either dont know or forget... cuz we're focused on bringing traffic to our sites... but no neccessarily repeat traffic...

Most of us dont have STICKY sites... because we dont know/ understand the value.. instead we spam the SE's with junk pages and wonder why we are making any money...

If there is anything I agree with Mike on ... that is there is no value in taking a datafeed and throwing up a site... sites like this will never make more then a few dollars...

Those of us who understand this are making money buy building pages that bring the same visitor back when ever they need what we sell... those who dont whine everytime the SE's update, the weather changes.. or anything else happens that disrups their meager cash flow...

So is it Penny or Perry?

I am in need of some adword training. I sux at it. Originally I threw a couple hundred bucks at it, got the clicks... not no sales. .then I revamped some landing pages, tried to limit the keywords to very focused words. What I see now is I can't get the clicks.. I can only assume I don't have enough keywords, but if I just throw any and all similar keywords out there, I will get the clicks but not the targeted traffic that will generate a sale. Its seems to be a very delicate balancing act and I gotta tell you, I fell off the wire once, not TOO hard but hard enough to make me leary... so now here I sit with one foot on the tight rope and the other on the board, afraid to step out......
