    Hi Karl,

I was waiting for others to post their thoughts on this program & others out there. Our Adsense revenue dropped over 170%+ back in September 2004 and we were never able to recover more than 40% of that loss back. (When they allowed 3 AD's per page)

I guess I'll be looking for your future post about dipping your toe and seeing just how much of a splash you created.

    Best-o-luck!!

I tried them but all that showed up on my page was an adhearus promo and a "term paper service" . Not too fond of either ad so I ditched the service.

    Karl,

Are you talking about using the service for advertising your site or using them like adsense to earn income. I'd be interested in some feedback if anyone has used them for the PPC advertising similar to adwords.

They have a very low inventory. One of the things that makes adsense work is that they have a bid on almost everything, I found adhearus to not be anywhere near comparable.

    Adsense and my competition

Hello all. I have a dilemma with Adsense that I haven't necessarily seen addressed and would love to know if any of you have dealt with it with any success.

I would like to be able to show content relevant ads and earn revenue with Adsense in my arsenal; however, my site is so specific that typically all of the ads that Adsense shows are my competition. I know that you can filter sites out, but it seems that people always have several "versions" of their URL in the system so that I have to filter a ton of options before being able to actually remove that competitor. With Adsense only allowing you to filter 200 max. items, I run out of room to filter.

Are there other programs out there that let you tailor your ads better and enjoy some additional revenue without being slammed with ads from a competitor? Or have you found a way to make Google's program more user friendly?

    Thanks,
    Sheri

Sheri you might want to start your own thread to ask that, instead of taking this one off course.

    Thanks

Well, since there's not much in the way of response, I'll chime in here. An admittendly small test turned up zero in the way of results. Disappointing to say the least. We pulled them from the section and they likely won't get another go-round 'til I hear some good news.

Are they any good for advertising though?

I have to say.. I've head of Adhearus *only* through one of those "I was booted from Adsense" threads at WMW.

I've got to say though, I was impressed when I visited their site and one of the boxes says..

    Advanced Geo Targetting

Advertisers can target their advertising down to the country, state or city levels.

Need to advertise only to people in England or even just in Luton?

    At Adhearus, it's easy.
Luton is my local cable bridgehead, so Adhearus looks promising from the point of view of geotargetting.

    Anyone know about costs?
