Creating a custom link at CJ??
Is it possible to create a custom link to a certain page on a merchants website?

I searched and found one thread the suggested adding ?url=(the url of the page you want to go to) after your affiliate link to the merchant site.

I tried it and it doesn't work, it just reverts back to the main page of the merchants website.

Is it possible to do? If so how?

    TIA!

It works, BUT, you need to find the right link and not all merchants are accepting custom links.
To check if you can change the destination of the link

Go to Get Links Get HTML for your merchant
    Click on Show Advanced Options
You'll see if you can customize the image and/or the destination, just under SID.
If you have nothing try different links for the same merchant.

I'm pretty sure you can customize the links of all the merchants with a datafeed.

Zeus, do you mean that the Show Advanced Options link may show up in the pop-up that appears after you click "Get HTML" for a given text link?

I'm also trying to figure this out

    Thanks!

    Me too!

I tried the above but can't find "advanced Links". I looked in "view links", and "product links". One thing though, the merchant says I can redirect to products. I'm not 100% on CJ links...

Today I had to exchange a different .html page address into the link code because the link didn't go to the product I wanted.

It all seemed to work okay...might there be a problem with it?

Things are different after the LMI fiasco. But basically to create a custom link to a certain page on a merchants website is still the same.
Advanced Options don't exist anymore but they have "Destination URL" just under SID on the "Get Links" : Text Link Get HTML
If the merchant have a destination URL you can redirect to any page you want.
Either use the link after you enter a page in "Destination URL" or use ?url= after the aid/pid like

That's good to know - Thanks!

I didn't know you were allowed to modify the destination URL or that you can redirect like that after the URL affiliate code!

Is that legal for all merchants on CJ? For example, I want to take a visitor to the "Shipping&Handling Conditions" page and cookie them at the same time...

Some merchants dont allow the redirect, in that case it will not work. If it works and you don't mislead the customer, I assume it's legal. I did it for years without a C&D. If you want to be sure 100% contact the merchant.

Ya, you just have to look for advertisers that offer link redirects when they are creating or editing links. A couple of our advertisers asked so I made most links able to redirect.
