After early experience with various data feeds including Tiger Direct and OverStock (via LinkShare Merchandiser program) I have a bunch of things (questions, comments, requests) to raise with the providers of the feeds.
I'm sure they are common to most users of these feeds - things like (apparently) messed up categories, duplicates, ommissions. Questions about the structure and permanence thereof, inconsistencies, etc etc.
In the relevant merchant/network forums, any references to data feeds often seem to stir up a degree of resentment. And indeed they are off-topic for the majority in those forums.
Putting these two things together, I wonder if it would be useful to have a forum specifically as a clearing house for such queries. I can see many benefits for those using the feeds but also to help the providers improve this aspect of their programs, to promote their use, and to provide peer support.
The only downside perhaps being the need for the appropriate AMs etc to be active in a forum that would be trans merchant/network - unlike the existing ABW structure.
