    Angry Help With Full Text Search
    Looking for help with a PHP MySQL full thext search.

    Here is the query

    $query = "select * from $tablename where match(PRODUCTNAME) against('$search_text')";

    That works on one site but not another!!! Ahhhggg

    I double and triple checked the field names and table name for spelling and bad typing. Why is this not working???

    I'd also like to know if there is a way to limit records when using a full text search??

    TIA,
    Doug

    Are they on the same server? Older versions of MySQL don't support Full Text searching. What error is it returning?

    Did you create your fulltext index on both tables?

    Is the table or column name a reserved word?

    That's what I was going to say, must be a syntax error in your PHP code.
