    Auto-Generate Web Site w/data feed...
Was wondering if anyone knew of a software app that could take a SAS feed for example and generate a mini web site instantaneously?

Would love to offer this type of solution to my affiliate base.

Check the Programming and Coding section. One of the most popular datafeed to website generators even has its own forum here; and there are at least 2 web based solutions offering a similar thing available.

I should have something to show you soon too. Like Just4Fun's, mine will not be limited to any given SAS merchant either.

Here is a demo site (feed using eValueZone from SAS)

    http://www.fztl.com/sasdemo/index.html

Static HTML files generated in 2 minutes on my system from freshly downloaded feed file from ShareASale ftp site.

Please let me know how is it and suggestions are welcome. Advanced version of this script will insert the data into mysql as customized by user. Also includes set of PHP scripts for displaying mysql data in site with SEO :-)

    Very minimal..

    - You need to know how to install Java on your machine
    - Edit the config file using some editor to set your own site url, title, description, keywords, and your SAS Affiliate ID
    - Edit the template.html to include optional google ads.

    Thats it

After these settings it'll take less then 5 mins to get you a site.

Just a heads up for affiliates - this sounds like a great idea but to be honest the Kimmyshop data feed is rarely updated. If you check their current inventory, a huge number of their items are sold out and no longer available. They have been this way for some time now. Last e-mail I received regarding an update was Feb. 21st.

Don't get me wrong, they have great products and overall a good affiliate program, but would like to see more attention given to the product links being updated more often.

Mine is not dead. I am just in the process of moving cross country, ok 2 states away, and my PC/Programming time is a little limited. If my memory serves correctly, my script is done. All I need to do is write the install instructions. I hope to be able to do that sometime this week or the next.

    New Data Feed Available Soon...
You are absolutely right. We've just been holding off a bit since we received a lot of new products. I just sent the new feed to SAS. Usually they take 1-2 days before it becomes available.

Yep. By using templates of your own design, WebMerge can fully automate the process of generating and uploading pages and still allow your site to have a custom look.

Maybe folks weren't aware the demo is free and there are two great tutorials specifically for affiliates written by long-time ABW members available at our support page.

It is similar, but does not rely on the user to upload 1000s of pages to their server. These versions run on the server and not on your local machine. Also, depending on the template engine, the script may/may not allow more freedom in the layout and design of the site.
