A co-worker of mine has a family member who works for Fidelity Investments. They decided to downsize and move their corporate office out of town. They had a huge wearhouse of stuff that was going to all be thrown away.
Of course I took the initiative to capitalize on the situation. Me and some others scored 2 $5000 UPS backups, about 10 monitors, and a ton of other things like scanners, full server rack, printers, miles of CAT 5 prewired, everything.
The only thing that sucked is there was CISCO catalyst systems routers and hugs (about 20k worth) but it was marked to not take :/ .
But im just stoked... I love free stuff!

There is good money in reselling used routers, IF you can find them.
I used to work at a computer surplus warehouse where we sold an old used router for $850 that we found on a pallet of military surplus computers for which we had paid a small pittance.
ComputerSurplusOutlet, an affiliate merchant, comes to mind.
