    Hello To Our Guest
    Hello Guest,

It seem like there are more Guest than Regular Members here visiting the ABW forum every time I come here.

I feel sure that members would like for all of you to register as members of ABW so that you can share your experiences in affiliate marketing with us.

I know that I would like for you to join and share your experience with us.

I am sure that you could be a lot of help to the rest of us. You could tell us about your successes and failures in affiliate marketing instead of reading about ours and not telling us about yours.

We are interested in hearing from and about you just like you are about us.

So, how about joining and talking to us instead of just listening to us.

Sure hope all of you guest have a nice day.

Ya know, if everyone had to register to even read this forum, I'd like it better. (wonder who is looking over our shoulder now?)

I think that's a horrible idea. The only reason I joined is because i read for a few weeks and realized it was a great forum with tons of information. How many of you would join to read a forum? I know I sure wouldn't.

Could be that many of the guests are registered users that haven't bothered logging in.

    BurgerBoy,

    Now you have done it.......

    I think you're a mind reader or a spy.

Less than 24hrs ago, I was working on a new idea to make a thread for the lurkers to go ahead and post something, but you beat me to it.

I hate you now, somehow you just have stolen my idea, like yesterday when you stole my fan.gif

From now on, I will not give you any more burgers, I am going to talk to SSanf so she can whip you up.

Just wait til, I finish here

At least I know that most of those lurkers won't be able to play with my ............

I've registered at forums that demand I register to read. That doesn't mean I ever posted in them. Registering doesn't prevent lurkers, they just have nicks. Besides, the register to read attitude always irks me.

    Hi Guests.

    Me too.

I even hate when someone here post a link to wmw, the Washington post or another place and then when we get there, we must register in order to read it, I won't do it.

Same here. If I'm not already registered with a place, I'm not going to sign up just to read one thread or article. I have registered with a couple of online papers, but only after I saw that they had MANY articles I wanted to read (not just to see what's on the other end of a one-off link from a thread).
I also think the online papers are pretty weird requiring a signup. They don't seem to get anything from signups...the one I have registered with didn't seem to send me any emails or anything so what's the point?!

And for sure, I wouldn't sign up for a forum unless I could read first! Unlike an online paper, a forum is a community--and I want to be able to see what the people are like (or at least, what they act like, LOL) before I decide to be a part of it.

OK, then . . . how about one section here that is accessible only by registered users, one that can't be read without logging in? I realize the baddies can come in with their nicknames, but maybe a little mystery wouldn't hurt?

and yes, we still have PM if we need it.

I'm guessing it has to do with showing their advertisers what kind of subscription level they have. It works both ways, I suppose. My home page is a news site that required a subscription to read articles. So even though simple stats may show a ton of page loads, my cookie will show that it was only little ole me a hundred times a day. Still, perhaps that's good for the advertisers. I'll be exposed over and over to what ads slip through my ad filt.... er.. their ads.

I often drop in without logging in just to see what the affiliate marketing temperature is. If everything seems normal, I might not post or login. I'm willing to guess that a lot of the guests are really registered users who haven't logged in yet.
