    data feeds
    Hello,

First off I apologize if the questions I ask are stupid or if this post is in the wrong section please move it to the proper one.

I am just starting to learn about AM and have researching for a month or 2 how everything works but I am still confused about data feeds. What are they? How do they work? And how is it related to Affiliate Marketing?

I just recently signed up with CJ and was wondering how the system works, I have looked at the help section and read as much as i can but I am still clueless of the functionality of CJ. I am really new to this so I apologize, just to let you know how new, it took me 2 weeks to figure out what CJ stands for .. hahahaha.

Again thank you for your time.

Datafeeds are text files which contain large amounts of product information from a merchant which you can import into your own database or query the data from the text file itself as they are conveniently in CSV or XML format.

You use the product details in the files to dynamically create your own affiliate links to perhaps all their products in one go and can use the output of that to create your entire website as you can typically get the price, name, description, and an image for each product all ready to go.
