5 Bars on CJ. Not Bad!

We have been with CJ almost since its inception. For the first time in all these years we have received a 5-bar rating! Naturally, our March performance has something to do with it. Our March CJ-revenue was over $3,700.
All our CJ-links are encrypted, we do not use eBay anywhere, and we do not notice any abnormal behaviour, barring some pretty justifiable delays.
Thank you very much CJ!

I used to be a 5-bar affiliate but I've been down to 4-bars for many months now
Good luck to you I hope you stay at 5-bar longer than I did.One day parasites and their ilk will be made illegal, I bet a few Lawyers will be pissed off when the day comes.

I made it myself last month and again this month. Won't happen again in May, though, as I just moved to an in-house program for one of my top CJ merchants (in return for a raise ). Such is life.
Hope it keeps going for you!
-John.There's a reason army's wear uniforms even though it makes them easier to spot. Sometimes that's what you want. Uniforms suggest organization, power, and numbers. These, in turn, inspire fear. And, as any good operative knows, there is no more effective weapon than fear.

Congrats! LOL..I just figured out what you are all talking about when i read the "Help" area on CJ. When I log in my bar is 4. What is considered average? I look at myself as a newbie still.

2 bars would be considered average (50th percentile) out of those affiliates earning commissions.
5 bars - 95th percentile
4 bars - 80-94th percentile
3 bars - 60-79th percentile
2 bars - 40-59th percentile
1 bar - 1-39th percentile
blank - No commissions earned
It's based on commissions earned in the previous month, and the percentiles only take into consideration those affiliates who generated commissions.

Getting to the top of the class is quite an achievement.
I'm also new to affiliate marketing, so I have a couple of newbie questions.
When you say you encrypt all CJ links, does this mean that you use a non-identifiable link that uses a redirection to CJ? I assume that is just to ward off the parasites.
What's the downside with having eBay links on a site?

CJ offers encrypted links (just go to make a link at CJ, it is a check box). The basic difference from regular links is that your AID is not visible in the link. This means others cannot work out which multiple sites/ads you own/run, and I presume parasiteware cannot steal your commission.
I cannot see any reason to not use encrpted links.
