WM changes field into capital letters
Strange problem, I've used WM for a couple of years with no serious problems. I think I know the program 'fairly' well.

However today while making some index and product pages, WM2.4 is naming them xyz.html on the index page but then creates the product page as XYZ.html (capital letters).

Any comments on this one? What am I missing?

To the best of my knowledge no changes have been made in v2.4 which should affect the casing of text. Do the exact same templates, feed, etc. work differently in other versions?

You might want to double-check the feed to make sure the data does not contain the errant info you're seeing.

If that doesn't do it please send me an email with the settings file, templates, and a <2mb portion of the feed and I'll see what I can turn up.

I may have rec'd the email (hard to tell since it didn't reference "ToughTurkey" and there's no convention here to identify people by real name in this forum), but it was uncompressed. I believe I was able to extract the relevant data, but in the future please compress any attachments over 1mb. It's a good habit to get into for all recipients, as large emails can be cumbersome to work with.

I'll see what I can do with those files and reply to your email...

I can't get the upper-case letters, only lower-case as they appear in the source file.

Should this be affecting all records or is there a particular subset I should be looking at?

    grrrr, that is frustrating.

On my computer about 60% of the product pages are still being created in upper case letters. This works fine when I test them on my PC, but once uploaded they return a 404.

I will download the datafeed again , the problem must lie in the feed.

Spot-checking the feed I saw no all-caps data -- is there a particular set of records I should be looking at?

Anything in your OS set to turn filenames into upper-case?

well, I downloaded the feed again, and the problem disappeared.

Somehow the feed must have been corrupt, or my computer was corrupting that particular feed somehow.

Thanks for the time you spent on it anyways.
