ROLMAO ...as the Dell investors get whacked by the idiots running their advertersing campaigns. They Pay an Agency for the creatives and MSN for the prime Ad space. They pay some 3rd party hired gun LS Adwhore operation to then whack a parasite fee & commission onto the above expense adding a commission exposure on every Ad click. I'd love to see Mike Dell's expression when 180Solutions pops re-directs to Gateway or TigerDirect from those same expensive Ads.

    Here's the thread (it's long):
    http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=56231

    Here's the posts with movies:

    More to come.

In the case of LinkShare - Microsoft - Dell, I scoured their sites for good emails and sent it to perhaps 15 people total in those orgs together. I doubt the right person has seen it. Help by looking for more avenues where they can be informed.

I have tried to indicate who I have submitted the videos to, but in most cases the contacts I found are pretty poor. Since these are large companies, finding a good contact is important.

Please forward to anyone you know who has an ear.

These movies are not copyrighted - copy them - post them on your site - build an anti-spyware site and use these as examples if you want.

Please help spread the word - I believe overcommunicating to these organizations is best. If you always wondered what you could do to help, spread the word is my suggestion.

By the way, the FTC is awaiting word from Mike and Charley - I asked him and the parrot to squawk in the FTC's ear. I have not yet reported it to them. But man, I hope lots of people do. If I don't hear back from Mike and Charley, I plan to file a complaint here:

It would be ironic justice. Michael Dell is one of the biggest blood sucking parasites in the computer industry. That is how he made his BILLION$ and BILLION$.

    Hi, Donuts,

Great work!! You may wish to consider rewriting and reposting all this info on the LinkShare forum. I think it will get the attention of a certain LinkShare lawyer.

You just did that for me... :-)

And LinkShare knows what 180 is doing - that's why they're having a lil tif. It's Microsoft and especially Dell that needs to know what's happenning here.

M$ and Dell also know this stuff is happening. With regards to the video, I would imagine M$ already got their money from Dell at the initial click (can't imagine that's a CPA deal for the Dell ad on MSN). However, M$ legal could possibly be interested since they were included in that list of spyware removal companines contacted by 180.

You can bet that only the Adwhore's within, or hired by Dell, are involved with the 180Solutions wanks. Their computer support department hates the damn BHO's, all choaking their systems within minutes of hooking them to a broadband connection. Normal computer support call centers say 42% of all calls are Adware/Spyware related, especially those who bundle their crap loads with trojan horse viruses.

Let Dell.com get double dipped on their Ad campaigns as they are the diversion King of affiliate enabled merchnats.

Microsoft refuses to become a victim of the corporate pitfalls when dealing with the Adwhore industry. Gates is taking action on Spyware/Adware, e-mail spammers., identity thieves and software counterfeiting rings. He has his high priced lawyers filling suits every week of those abusing Microsoft's operating system, S/W and browser. Just file 8 more lawsuits on USA clone builders bundling counterfeit MS Windows and Office applications on cheaply built systems.....

Microsoft has filed eight lawsuits against what it alleges are software pirates - all US computer systems builders and resellers.

Abacus, Avantek, First E-Commerce, M&S Computer Products, Micro Excell, Odyssey Computers, Signature PC and Technology One have all been accused by the software giant of distributing counterfeit software and software components.

The suits allege copyright and trademark infringement and were filed after Microsoft sent cease-and-desist letters to the companies. It filed similar suits against eight other dealers in 2004. Microsoft discovered the alleged counterfeiting during its test purchasing program, under which it buys software from dealers to test for authenticity. Counterfeit software undermines the business of legitimate products and accounts for 22 percent of the software being used on computers in the US today, Microsoft claimed.

In an effort to fight piracy, the company lobbied for new legislation which provides criminal and civil penalties for the distribution of standalone Certificate of Authenticity (COA) labels or authentic COA labels that are separated from the software they are intended to certify. That legislation, called the Anti-Counterfeiting Amendments Act of 2003, was signed into law by President Bush in December. One of the resellers was also sued for allegedly violating the new law, Microsoft said.

    Curious.

If linkshare is so hardcore about their stance on 180, and the kicking out wasn't for other reasons. Shouldn't they kick these guys out when notified? Or was non-compliance/issues not the reason 180 left linkshare?

    They should add:
•Experienced at defending the indefensible and impugning the innocent.
•Can move quickly to settle disputes out of court and gag all parties tighter than a banjo string.
•Has a naturally high metabolism and generally dislikes weight watchers.
•Understands that calling popup ads "searches" is a defense strategy, not just sugar coating.
•Knows how to convince a judge that cookie stuffing is really the gooey center of something delicious that mom used to bake.
•Can claim, under oath, that the "Share" in LinkShare is referring to them.
