Walter Drake ... Can't Access Product Links
I want to switch all my Walter Drake links from Performics to CJ. The problem is when I click on PRODUCT LINKS, I get a message that there are more than 1000 links and I need to narrow my search. So, I narrow my search by typing in the name of an exact product. The search produces no results. How am I supposed to be able to create links, if I can't even get one to come up?

Maybe just take one of their banner or text links that lets you redirect and use that instead..?? I've had to do that a few times when the products wouldn't come up...

Don't know if it was the post here, or shooting off an unanswered email to Walter Drake, but it's working now.

an unanswered email to Walter Drake
Well I hope Joel answers MY email today.

More then half my WD sales were just reversed as "Unqualified Leads"

My mother's got that place (I'd have them too, but me and her have agreed not to compete on some merchants, and that's one of them), and she got the same surprise in her reports with the same bogus-seeming excuse. Please do give an update if he responds! Or if he doesn't respond...if he hides, that's good to know, too.

    Hi Billy,

I've forward your email to Kristy Tamm (ktamm at mileskimball . com). She's
now the contact for affiliates. I've asked her to touch base with you.

    - Joel

That was fast! Technically not an answer - but a quick reply!

At least they responded--but I wonder what the answer will be?

It appears that my gift site attracts bad apples

    All those DIFFERENT people.

    All coming to my site

All cancelling right after placing order

    Of course!!

    Hi Billy,

The reason for these reversals is that all of those orders were canceled
    right after they were placed.

If you have any additional questions, please let me know.

    Thank you,
    (the new am)

    Thumbs down
Oh, they've gone into pushing "Bovine-Origin Garden Fertilizer", then. A free bagful for every affiliate, huh!

I'm sure Ma'll be just "delighted" to read that response of theirs. Hopefully she'll go ahead and rip links rather than endure another round of reversals.
Might as well stick a fork in this one; when merchants start pulling stuff like that they are always done.

Grrrrr... I had that large chunk of reversals also.

Hate it when a decent program gets driven into the ground.

    This month, they're "duplicate orders..."

*I told her she should dump 'em!*

I saw your post and was afraid to login to CJ...

    Yep! This month it's dupes!!

I've been removing since this started... but it takes time

Leader... CHECK... I couldn't find any dupes on the "original transaction date" - or 4 weeks in either direction!!

No real dupes. The only figures that matched, were several hours apart...and some were even from different *sites!*

One dupe, one "invalid lead" here.

Not going to be hard to replace, just need to look for the right categorization elsewhere.

I emailed her with last month it was cancels - this month it's dupes - and it's not just me it's other affiliates - what's up?

    Ya ready...

In reference to the other affiliates who are claiming that 1/2 of their
customers canceled, is untrue. In actual reality, they are most likely
the affiliates that are violating our terms by bidding on our brand name
keywords for Walter Drake and or The Home Marketplace. We first sent
emails to our affiliates last December, indicating the change in our
terms, where affiliates were no longer allowed to bid on our brand
names. At the end of February, we informed affiliates that we would not
pay them for sales as long as they were violating our terms.
Unfortunately we still have some affiliates who are violating our terms.
This one is... well... like nothing I've heard before:

This month's Duplicate transactions at COMMISION JUNCTION are really sales for their affiliates at PERFORMICS!!!!

The order that is indicated as a duplicate sale also came through on our
Performics report as a sale for another affiliate. The reason you
aren't receiving credit is because the order came through our system
with the Performics tracking code. So, we gave credit for the order to
the affiliate on Performics that is claiming the order because they have
the correct tracking code. If the situation was reversed, and you had
the correct tracking code and the order through Performics did not, we
    would have reversed their sale.

Ah. I see. This sounds VERY familiar. A certain collectibles merchant a couple of years ago had multiple programs and began to cancel orders when multiple cookies triggered on purchases. Of course, they also reversed for many other reasons and refused to take a public stance on whether they were reversing for clicks in from one of their organic SERP's when already affiliate cookied.

As to the PPSCE bidding... bwahahahahahaha, I sell mostly small ticket items through both the programs. Before they broke the datafeed when they merged I used to sell quite a bit for The Home Marketplace. But bid on an oyster shucker or slicer on affiliate margins???? Yeah, right.

    the correct tracking code
What a pile of fertilizer...they can back the truck up to the garden and dump it there.
How could the code be incorrect? It's the code that's coming right out of CJ!

And, what Webmarm said about the PPCSE bidding.

I emailed with "Regardless if you can tell the difference between a CJ affiliate and a performics affiliate... but if you're gonna' deduct me for a duplicate transaction, you need to show me the original that you paid me on"

    She never responded

    but yesterday....

there was a WalterDrake "bonus" at Cj that matched the reversal

I'd definately ask for PROOF of the dupes if I were you

I have an original of the "dupe". Guess she missed the "invalid lead" button when entering the reversal.

    It's THE DAY again...
Back to "Unqualified Leads" this month.

But, Ma FINALLY took her links down!!!
She's got more patience than I'd have. I've seen too many merchants go to reversal-mania to bother with 'em anymore...

Same here! I think the only link I have left is their s - I'll look for a replacement.

And here's the email I just sent her:

    Ms. Tamm

Never got a response to this - which of course shows how you feel about your affiliates, but you deducted us again today, so I'll ask again. What's an "unqualified lead"?
