    Jeeese, if there's one group of people I wouldn't want to tick off - other than ABWers, of course - it would be the IRS, lol, kinda nervy, don't you think?

    Great free spyware/virus/adware utility links and a Windows security article is at http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/security.htm and I do recommend www.winpatrol.com for a nifty full featured attack preventer....free version is very helpful for even novices and older Win98 users

    A few complaints to the legal dept of the IRS (with videos attached) would probably help things along.

    If it gives the appearance that the IRS is recommending certain tax software over others, things could get "dicey".

    This may be wishful thinking, but it seems that the more anti-spyware publicity there is, the bolder and more blatant they become. Perhaps they realise the game is going to be up before long and they're grabbing what they can while they can before its outlawed?

    The model is one that's bound to implode on them. They want to get on as many computers as possible which just gets the problem in front of many more people.
