    First Attempt at Using [WM-Record]
    Hello,

I've used WebMerge successfully for over a year now, but for some reason I can't get it set-up correctly to accomplish this task. I'm trying to produce a simple list of business names and addresses on ONE PAGE only, using this format:

    [WM-Record]
    [WM-Field: Title]
    [WM-Field: Address]
    [WM-Field: City], [WM-Field: State]
    [WM-Field: Phone]

    Website: [WM-Field: BusinessURL]

    Description: [WM-Field: Description]

    [/WM-Record]

If I do it using the "index page" screen, WebMerge produces a list linked to all the other pages it produces, which is exactly what it's supposed to do, but not what I WANT it to do. I don't need a page for each record, I need one page that contains all records.

    Any ideas?

What if you allowed Webmerge to create an index page and then have the information you want to show be your detail page. That way your info won't have links. You don't have to use the index page for anything.

WebMerge only makes links when it's also being asked to make detail pages. Turn off the checkbox at the top of the detail pages tab and you should get what you're looking for.

Tip: If you're using both detail and index pages but want to have only some fields as links, just add the nolink attribute to the WM-Field tags on your index page:

    [WM-Field: MyField nolink]

    Thanks for the reply.

I can get WM to create the index page exactly like I want, EXCEPT, each record on the index page is linked to its detail page. I can always delete the detail pages, but then I'd have to go through each record on the index page and de-link it.

I can't figure out how to stop WM from linking to detail pages. (I guess this is sort of a backwards way of using WM to begin with)
