Call me ignorant, but how could such a thing happen without Bestbuy knowing about it?

And Zango pop-ups will only affect visitors who are afflicted by the Zango/180 parasiteware.

The only good thing about M$ finally releasing an anti-spyware program is that there will be some level of protection for most consumers.

In this case BestBuy is moving NetFlix product... NetFlix is the tracking cookie and product being sold... and they're thru LS.

Which Zango says is this size:

"180solutions serves over 20 million active online consumers and more than 6,000 advertisers including dozens of Fortune 1000 companies. With over 400 million user-initiated Internet searches logged each day (Internet.com October, 2003), 180solutions will be the standard for measurable online results to both Internet consumers and advertisers alike."

    Reference: http://www.180solutions.com/pages/aboutus.aspx

So "only" is actually a lot - and these numbers are likely much lower than actual since they haven't been updated in a while and the parasite has been spreading...

I bet BestBuy and NetFlix take no solace in only being stolen from a certain percentage of the time (where the % = % afflicated).

BTW, I reported this to both NetFlix and BestBuy earlier today.

I think you're correct. And they may still be there. They are at LinkShare for sure - I'm a member and I checked. Plus the cookie they were writing was a linksynergy domain. NetFlix is a very good product - and they're promoting it everywhere. They could be at BeFree as well as LinkShare to get as many promoting them as possible. Someone as big as NetFlix could negotiate away any normally required eclusivity that a network may demand.
