    Invalid links generating traffic-HELP!!!
I have some clicks being generated from one of my pages, to a merchant I have never had a relationship with.

Does anyone know how I can trouble-shoot the page to see what's causing this?
I've looked at the page with a fine tooth comb and that merchants links do not exist on it.

I sent CJ an email a couple of days ago and nobody has looked into it yet - and just a few minutes ago another click has appeared.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Also, " This Advertiser is currently Deactivated "

    Thanks

I had a similar thing happen to me about two months ago.

I started getting clicks being reported from a vendor I wasn't signed-up with.

It turned out they were coming from someone else's page because they were using my CJ PID in their links! I used the link info in CJ's error report to find the actual pages generating the invalid clicks.

I never did understand if it was intentional for some sneaky reason or not -- their PID (when they finally corrected the problem) was nothing like mine, so it wasn't a simple typo.

I contacted CJ via their Ask A Question, and both CJ and I contacted the owner of the pages about the problem. The affected pages were corrected in a day or two, but I never got a reply from the page owner as to what had happened.

    Hi HomeFlower,

You could write down the url that's generating the traffic and then go to the page that it originated from and view source and use your CTRL + F keys to do a search for the url... Also, if Your links are encrypted, if you hold your mouse curser over the link as You view page regularly sometimes You can read the url in the bottom browser tool bar.

Hope You find it, and Love You,
    HumbleFish

It shows that the reffering page is one of mine and I checked it (the page) using the product link ID that's showing up on the report and it isn't on the page.

I'm really baffled but at least now I know I'm not alone

I don't know if this is something or not but the link ID is the same as my PID

    HomeFlower,

I had one of those Invalid links generating traffic a few months ago and it took me a while to find out why.

The problem was that one of the merchants that I had on CJ for a long time, changed their site name and since it was one of those (*) merchants that I almost never check, they where the one giving me the Invalid links after some visitors clicked on those forgotten links.

So check for merchants that have a new domain name with the old links.

    Sal.

Physically look at every link on the page. I would say you have a wrong merchant ID in a link somewhere.
