    Amazon Has a New Look
Went to bed at 5:00 a.m. this morning after working on adding amazon links all night. Woke up this afternoon, and wow! The whole site looks new and different.

Wow. Even the merchant shop ecatalog pages look nicer.

Hmmm....Interesting. That will take some getting used to - I liked the tabs they used to have at the top for the different stores.

Yes, but now if you just hover over the "See All 31 Product Categories" you get the full list to choose from. Before, the tab I always wanted to use was never included at the top. Now I can select it in one swift move.

I had trouble both with executing a 1-click order and buying from the lower priced used items. 1-click was turned off and had to go through some hassle to get it back on again, although this could have been due to me upgrading to Opera 8 (messed with the cookies). Ordering the used book turned out to be hopeless, so I just added it to my wishlist.

Hope this isn't foreshadowing of under the hood changes.

Oh dear.. you mess with a layout like that at your peril! I think they need to rethink that.. the navigation has gone from being clear to being confusing.

The Amazon layout is like an old friend.. easy to use and clear.. this is like your friend has just bought some leather pants and gotten a too-young haircut!

Thankfully they haven't changed amazon.co.uk yet.
