May 3rd, 2005, 11:55 AM #1LinkShare...You Need To Update Website Payment Info
If we have indeed switched to a new payment system, then you need to update your web site to reflect that. I'm sure newbies to your program are wondering when and how their checks are sent (heck, aren't we all wondering that right now).
Update your website. It currently states the following:
Within 15 days after the close of a payment period, LinkShare provides all merchants with the information they need to pay their affiliates for the period. After reviewing and approving the information, merchants are then ready to proceed to the next step in the payment process.
If LinkShare Processes the Payments:
Merchants are responsible for having their Accounting department issue a payment to LinkShare for the total amount of their approved affiliate payments. After LinkShare receives the payment in full and authorization to pay, we make the approved payments to affiliates. The checks will come from LinkShare, with a note stating the merchant and period that the check is for. If a merchant has approved a payment to you, the check number and payment date will be available in your Payment Report when the payment has been mailed. If you have not received a payment within 10 business days of the payment date (please allow 30 days for all foreign destinations), please contact LinkShare's Affiliate Payments Department. Note, the length of time it will take to receive your payments will vary merchant by merchant based upon their accounting cycle.
If the Merchant Processes Their Own Payments:
Merchants are responsible for having their Accounting department issue payments directly to all affiliates who have been approved for payment. Once a merchant has processed the payments, they have the ability to report to LinkShare the date that they made the payments. If a merchant has approved a payment to you and reported the payment date to us, this reported payment date will be available in your Payment Report. If you have not received a payment within 10 business days of the reported payment date (please allow 30 days for all foreign destinations), please contact the merchant directly. Note, the length of time it will take to receive your payments will vary merchant by merchant based upon their accounting cycle.

I have passed that information along to the appropriate department. An update should be made shortly.

Thanks! You might also remove or make notes in other areas of your site that give users (especially new ones) misleading information about where they go to get reports. Obviously much is outdated now.
