    Okay, I get this email today with the Subject: Check Your LinkShare Merchant Status Update.

    Here is the message:

    Please check your Merchant Status Update for new information on your Merchant partners. You can access this page by clicking on the following link and entering your username and password, http://www.linkshare.com/merchantstatus.

    This page can also be accessed in your interface, under the "Your Account" section.

    Thank you for partnering with LinkShare.

    Okay, I click on the link and go to the correct page but there are no changes. Now, is this just a form email that LS sends out once every month or so (see my last one came March 3) or is it only sent out when there are changes? If only for changes, I wonder what it is I am supposed to see that I am not.

    I also received that email today and didn't have any changes on the status of any of my merchants.

    Great! We can't get important emails from LS regarding the new payment system, but we do get emails about updates that have not occured.

    I sure do hope LS can fix this email system soon. I understand they are working on it.

    I got the notice, but I did have a new merchant on there: Yves Rocher (5/2) and Carrot Ink (5/3). Good thing I never got around to setting up links to those merchants.

    I did get the notice once (10/17/03) when there wasn't a change. I emailed support:

    I couldn't find any new merchants listed. Normally, this email just
    goes out when something has changed. Any idea what's up with it?
    Here's the response I got back:

    As of today, three of your previously affiliated merchants have filed
    for
    bankruptcy. This will only affect you if you are still owed commission
    from
    these merchants. They are listed below.

    {*}Flooz.com Chapter 7
    {*}Express.com (DVD Express Inc) Chapter 11
    {*}CyberRebate Chapter 11
    Of course those were from years earlier, so I responded:

    No, all three of those filed for bankruptcy YEARS ago. Nothing is
    different on the report today.
    Then I got another incorrect answer:

    Every affiliate in the network is sent the Check Your Merchant Status Update when a merchant will no longer be participating in the Network. The merchant who will no longer be participating in the Network may not have been one of your merchants. It is a general heads up for affiliates to check the MSU section of their account to be aware of any changes that may affect them. Thank you.
    I gave up. Their support is clueless.

    I suspect that it's a scenario like this: If you've been permanently removed (or never accepted) from a merchant's program, you might still get a notification but not see them in the Merchant Status Update. Perhaps one of you who got the latest notification can confirm whether one of those situations applied with you and Yves Rocher or Carrot Ink.

    I didn't get the email - but I clicked the Link Ron provided...

    Driver's Ed is gone - sure enough - my link points the the default Linkshare former relationship page

    Oh, this is comical! Billy Kay SHOULD have gotten the email but did not. I should not (I hope...because I see no change), but did get the email.

    Thanks Michael for all that information. Sadly, even if LS reads this, nothing will change.
