Nup. Won't work like that.
If you set up your script (my example, php) to process path info, then it'll work like that..
http://www.server.com/page.php/var1/var2/var3 <- page gets accessed like that,
GET /page.php/var1/var2/var3 <- that's how it shows in the log
The $PATH_INFO (or $_SERVER['PATH_INFO']) global variable then contains '/var1/var2/var3' which can be parsed out easily..
