May 6th, 2005, 02:53 PM #1Specifying more than one site on your account
Assuming you're not having any login problems, you can now add your sites to your account in LS.
After making sure your account information is accurate so far, see the add channel button partway down the page.
I'm assuming that adding a channel for each site will eventually allow you to track impressions/hits etc by giving you tagging choices when you make new links. It might even work. Or, I could be wrong.

I added one of my sites as a channel and immediately got an email from LS with this:
Congratulations! As a new affiliate of the LinkShare
Network(R), you have been automatically approved into the
LinkShare Referral Program. In this program, you will be
rewarded for recruiting valid, active affiliates into
LinkShare's various Networks(A valid referral is an
individual who registers as a LinkShare affiliate and
generates at least one click-through from any LinkShare
and it also contained the respective links and I see a new, much longer affiliate ID for that site.
note: you'll get an email confirmation request right after that. You can confirm your previous addy and I assume you can put in a separate email address just for that channel if you want. (confuse them alltohell)

OK, so I'm approved in the new channel for the recruiting program only -- now do I have to re-apply to each merchant for the sake of the new channel?
win one, lose one, apparently.

bad requirements analysis. If you want to do something like this Linkshare.... think first. Engineer it right.

Didn't stephen claim at some point that when accounts were consolidated, you wouldn't have to change any coding on your site? I am too tired from waiting for "live chat" to become live to search for that quote now. Maybe after a nap.

Live chat is working and is up during business hours Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm EST. After hours the chat link leads to the homepage.
Unfortunately this morning they were extremely busy with new registration questions.
