When CJ acknowledged a merchant request to remove WhenU as an affiliate, they [CJ]
We have received your request to terminate Whenu.com #425428
The WhenU affiliate number at Commission Junction is actually #442402 (whenever they steal another affiliates traffic ... this is their CJ ID in the link and side-bar!)
HMMMMMM could it be that CJ is NOT really "removing" WhenU on purpose?
Any Input Todd?

Haiko, you have to remember that the account # and site #'s are totally different. My account number starts 5xxxxx, but my site #'s start with a 7, 8, or 9 .
Maybe they told the merchant the account number...

Pretty quick response Todd Crawford.
Do you spend a lot of time monitoring this board or do you have it done for you? If the latter, I want that job. Especially, if I can do it here from my home. I am very qualified.
E-mail me privately so we can negotiate terms and conditions.

"Todd" is a new bot that has become the wave of the technological revolution. The "Lex" bot has been temporarily deactivated, but may return soon, with an improved smart technology advanced feature - it will come equipped with a .wav file that has automated responses to f.a.q.
The CJ i2002 bot, slated to be released in March of this upcoming year, will be the rave at all the big internet / e-commerce/ web related workshops / seminars / lectureships / conventions. It is supposed to be user friendly, with the capability, however, of turning off the tracking of any subversive opposition, such as a disgruntled affiliate that posts negative messages about CJ on message boards.
There will be one of those little guys, like what you see with the "help" feature with windows, cruising your CJ account manager. All CJ client services employees (affiliate reps) will be "let go" having been replaced by these little guys. They also will be able to hit the ol' tracking switch for those of us that get out of line with our questions, and comments about CJ.
Stay tuned for Big Chuck's latest technology review in all the upcoming internet publications. I will be in California accepting payoffs and bribes from companies competing for favorable comments on their products and service.

Ummmmm .... update from the Original Merchant ...
When Commission Junction emailed me it read as follows ...
We have received your request to terminate Whenu.com(425428) from affiliation with your advertiser program at Commission Junction. This termination will go into effect on 12/22/01 <<<
I was concerned that their Affiliate ID# on the WhenU software is actually
works also ... So CJ is not discontinuing the correct number!!!!!!!
So you tell me CJ

Erm, I'm not CJ (of course) but,
Don't links work unless the merchant is deactivated? Meaning, the merchant will get free traffic if the affiliate is deactivated but leaves the links up...
Of course you may be right and they got rid of the wrong affiliate!
January 3rd, 2002, 08:56 AM #10
Yep, the links still do work after deactivation of an affiliate.
I'm just making the point for the merchant that [CJ] may not have deactivated the the correct affiliate. I,also, think WhenU has three accounts ... and measuring the way CJ cares about ParasiteWare™ we definitely need to stay on them ... I am just the messenger on this one.

So who is smart enough to BS their way out of this one?
Save Nows' PID is 442402!
http://www.half.com/?AID=204382&PID=442402 is what shows after I click the whenU Save Now! Pop Up! ... see for yourself!
Are you sure you deleted the right account?
January 9th, 2002, 07:43 PM #12
I don't delete accounts. This is a publisher support issue. You know who to contact Haiko.
January 9th, 2002, 07:55 PM #13
Yes I do! ... but from the Shoot I have seen ... it is quite evident to me and all to all that it doesn't matter!
Notwithstanding, I will follow the protocols .... I'm "proud and Glad" that CJ is on the ball with regards to all ParasiteWare™! (Ahem!)
