    I need help on redirects
    I have a CJ merchant that permits direct linking in ppc/cpc ad campaigns, but they do not allow us to display their URL as the display URL in the ad. One of the 2nd tier PPC search engines I use, does some kind of masking of the long destination URL and ends up displaying the merchants URL.

    For Example: I entered http://www.arndoezers.net123?url=www...antsdomain.com So then after I submit the ad it shows www.merchantdomain.com as the display URL. What needs to be displayed is the first part or the www.arndoezers.com. Can anyone tell me how I can write these redirect URL's so the merchants URL is not displayed?

    The PPC search engine is allegedly working on the matter. It's been a week now.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Do you have an ID number for the listing(s) ? Normally, I have my products based on a unique ID. I then direct to them with jump.cgi?ID=1234. Even more clever, is masking it with mod_rewrite... i.e;

    http://www.domain.com/jump/1234.html .. which does the same thing. Something like;

    ^jump/([0-9]+)\.html /cgi-bin/jump.cgi?ID=$1 [L]

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers

    No unique product number
    All I had written was a typical redirect using ?url= to a specific page on a merchants website. Any ideas?

    Thanks

    I suggest having a redirection through a company that can not only offer the redirection but click fraud services as well.. One of my affilaites is using this company and saving him a LOT of money on Click fraud.. Check them out.

    http://www.clicksentinel.com Great for Google or Overture..

    I am checking them out now. I sent them a email for further clarification on how the code that they generate is used. Does their code replace the redirect url that I write or what?

    Thanks

    Again

    Hope it helps,

    Thanks for the reply. I sent you a private message. The following is a duplicate: Hi

    Thanks for the reply to my thread about needing help in link redirects. You said you used link-alias. I read all I could about them but I still have a few questions.
    Do you have all your data stored in a MySql file on your server or did you choose text? The reason I ask is that my hosting company said that MySql may not be used in any way for click tracking? Does link-alias use our MySql for the tracking of clicks via the script that will be installed on my server? 1and1 internet is my hosting company. I am very green when it comes to using php and mysql.

    Thanks
