I wonder what kind of stats we could generate here to prove that

You should have made an option 'YES - but with errors, problems' since some people got verified by entering wrong info-addresses, countries, bla bla bla.

I can't get RE-verified no matter what information I try. I've tried old addresses, former married name, etc. This is just stupid.

Put me down for "No, I had to enter incorrect information."

So far, I've just seen one post from someone who was able to verify with CORRECT information.

I'm sure all these verifications with incorrect information are skewing Linkshare's perceptions of things working right.

Now i'm more confused than ever. I just got off the phone with some at LS and they said the first time we got verified was for legal entity and then the registration is what started taking place a few days ago.

So our Legal Entity was verifiable, but our Registration Info' is unverifiable? Makes NO sense what so ever.

Doesn't sound right. Legal entity and registration info seem to be the same thing.

It's what the lady said. I told her i was validated and then unvalidated. She said the first time was for legal entity and then what's happening now is registration. She asked if my w9 matched the other info, i said yes. She asked if i lived at my present address less than 6 months, i said no. Lived here over 3 years. Questions like that. She said there were bugs and not to worry about it. I said hard to to worry about it when you guys won't release my checks. She said call back later this week.

"Live Chat" is saying basically the same thing. The issue should be resolved later this week.

Hard to believe only 24 people have voted. But the percentages are showing most of us can't get through the process.

Also, I wonder how many of those who voted "Yes" got through by entering invalid information.

I was "yes" with invalid. That makes me mis-verified instead of un-verified. :-)

I've tried both combinations ... Corporate Name/Street Address and Corporate Name/Post Office Box. I haven't tried my own name, but the tax number is the corporation's FEID, so that wouldn't be appropriate. I certainly don't want to get verified with the wrong information. That'll just start the nightmare of trying to fix it.

I think I got mine verified. I had to do it a lot of times over a few days but I am able to access my stats now. If this means I am verified then I am but after a few days trying.

[edited to add but I've not had a check yet ]

Sure it's pretty impressive if (according to this poll) 75% of your affiliates can't pass the verification.

You'd think so, but I finally (re-)verified on Friday with my personal name + my company's tax id. The proper combination would have been company name + company tax id, but that didn't work.

No way am I putting my name with my corporation's ID. It is a different ID than my social security number. Already got into a big argument with somebody who sent me a 1099 last year with my name on it, and my company's tax id. They refused to change it. Said they didn't deal with companies, only individuals.

Linkshare just needs to get their act together, but with every day that passes it seems less and less likely that it is going to happen.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
    I give up!!!

I tried to update my registration information again (don't know why I try).

Each time I tried to change something and clicked the Update button I got this message in the Error Box: Updated successfuly.

So, then went to Your Account, Update Profile. Guess What?????

We have been unable to verify one or more pieces of your LinkShare registration information. Please verify that all registration information is correct and edit any fields necessary. Until we are able to verify your registration information we will withhold payment of this account's affiliate commissions.
Logged out, logged back in. Still unverified.

Did it twice. Each time: Updated successfuly....then unable to verify.

I simply cannot believe LinkShare implemented something that so many people cannot use and then made this stupid thing a requirement to get paid without any way for affiliates to know exactly what is wrong with the registration.
