    Very Odd Indeed??
A few days ago I was doing a search on Google for a few items that I sell. A certain website came up a few times. It's a mall site with Linkshare and cj links on it. Anyway, I clicked on the site and now I am having problems. I've cleaned my cache 3 times and I still get this websites link in my IE browser whenever I start to type in www. What can I do to get rid of this? I am assuming it's some sort of spyware or parasite. I remember someone posting a link to a site that can check your computer for spyware??

Whenever I type www. plus start typing the name of the site I want to go directly to, all the sites I've visited which start with the same letter appear in the list because they are in my history. Did you clear your history in addition to your cache?

Anyway, I think the softwre you're looking for his ad-aware:

Yes, that is why I am concerned. I've cleared my cache and history three times and this is the only site that comes up when I type in www.

The website I am looking for is a site that you go to and type in your sites url and it checks it online.

Thanks Tracy. I just went to that site and for some reason it won't work on my computer. I know there was another one that was mentioned at ABW awhile back.

Here's a link for the MS antispyware.

    http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...e/default.mspx

It works real well and you can let it run in the background and the ad and spy ware will not even make it into you computer.

Thanks BurgerBoy. I don't know why I cannot get rid of that affiliates website in my browser. I went to 5 other pages on their site as a test, so now I have 6 of their pages in my browser when I put in www. All other websites disappear when I clear my cache and history.
