    Angry CJ 'random' domain broken!
At least one (hopefully just one) of the CJ random domains appears to be
unreachable, and hence images, 1x1's and banners, as well as links with it,
are broken.. See my response in
    > Anyone else have broken Images- I have three on my Home page.
    by HumbleFish.

Especially Haiko and Todd, please check it, as I don't know if I can mention
the particular domain on this forum.

Something isn't working. I monitor my Google clicks vs. CJ clicks daily and yesterday there was a large disparity.
These two numbers are usually very close but yesterday, Google was showing approximately 30% more clicks than CJ.
That would tell me that people are hitting pages with dead links.
My business since the "Upgrade" is down 80%.
I don't know what to make of it???

If you talk about adwords.... I compare their reported and billed clicks
with my visitor/pageview logs... and always see 5-10% more adwords clicks
then I see vis. come in from google (no content/search partners used)..
These are ppl who's server hides the page from where they came.. normal, but always 5-10%

Last 2 days however, there is 20% unaccounted clicks reported by adwords.
But this is a whole separate issue, nothing to do withthat one broken CJ random domain.

Also CJ clicks are in line those 2 days with my measured adwords vis.. SOOOO, must
contact adwords, seems someone is fraudulenty clicking my adwords ads while hiding referrer.
Nu, this should be somewhere else...

back to the topic of the broken CJ random domain (really just broken freshly, we now found
broken banners that we are sure even still worked yesterday).

Yeah, think i saw that. Have some CJ banners going with the CJ smartzone and one was always coming up with the x. That would explain it.

    anrd*****.net is down

    tq***.com is down

Could be more for all I know. Not going to spend time checking. I'm at the stage where I hardly care whether the traffic gets through CJ or not, as diversification is starting to pay off.

I don't think it's Norton on my end. I had a 120x60 banner not showing up for a merchant last night. I wrote it off as a down server on the merchants part... guess I was wrong

Yep, that CJ server must be down, as I just changed the banner URL from t***g.com to a*****.com and the banner appeared like magic.

Some of the banner images are still broken. I don't use Norton, so that isn't the problem. Most of the broken images are coming from the tq domain as stated above.

I am had less imps than clicks on a merchant that always have had more imps, so it seems that the img server was not working fine...

So, are you saying that the actual links are working, just the images aren't?

The one domain that I had mostly only in tracking images, and in a few banner images,
is responding again, and serving the images.

Mine are still not working. Again, these are images being served from the tq domain. If you click on the links they work but the images are broken.

The anrd*** domain is still not working.

Nothing is more disheartening than running PPC campaigns, getting low sales, and finding that the reason is your CJ links simply don't work.

BTW, if you want a quick way to check your pages you can pick up a program called HTML Link Validator at Tucows or other shareware directories: this checks all links on any web page you specify.

Sorry, on checking again I see it's the merchant page itself which is not loading - their whole site is down. Using the Validator shows all CJ domains I'm using are fine.

    Just need to switch merchants....

If you still do not see the images, your browser is probably caching them. Try use Ctrl, Shift, R to refresh the page or change your browser settings to not cache. Another possible problem would be if you have a "web accelerator" as part of your ISP service. They cache pages for you on their servers (I think) and can cause problems like this if they do not update the content they are caching to make your web browsing faster.
